	Recology Oregon was ranked among the top 25 of the 100 Best Companies to work for in Oregon in 2011 by Oregon Business. The award recognizes companies that "approach their daily work with green values."
	The Promotional Products Association International recognized Recology for successful Employee Incentive Programs in 2011 with a Silver Pyramid Award.
Silver ESOP Award	The ESOP Association presented Recology with a Silver ESOP Award to recognize the effort to sustain the Employee Stock Ownership Plan for 25 years or more. The 2011 Silver ESOP Awards were presented to companies that will celebrate 25 years or more as an ESOP company.
	California Product Stewardship Council recognized Recology as Outstanding Partner, 2010 for its belief in Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), contributions to EPR educational outreach and participation in local, regional and statewide efforts to expand the implementation of EPR.
	Recology is a 2011 recipient of the Waste Reduction Awards Program (WRAP) offered by the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle).
Sequoia Awards—Outstanding Community Volunteerism	The Sequoia Award of Redwood City California recognized Recology San Mateo County for its community work with such programs as Rebuilding Together, Early Bird Preschool and Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula in 2010.
	Mayor Gavin Newsom joined Recology employees at Recology San Francisco to celebrate the City and County of San Francisco's 77% diversion rate—the highest in the nation, making San Francisco the country's recycling leader.
	Recology was named a Climate Action Leader by the California Climate Registry for taking early action to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by measuring, verifying, and reporting them to the California Registry and to the public.
	Recology is the 2010 recipient of the Waste Reduction Awards Program (WRAP) offered by the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle).
	Recology Silicon Valley's administrative office and fleet division were certified as a Bay Area Green Business in Santa Clara County for its environmentally sound practices. The Green Business Program was developed by Bay Area public agencies with the U.S. EPA, Cal EPA Department of Toxic Substances Control and the business community.
	Recology Butte Colusa Counties earned Sacramento Area Sustainable Business Certification in 2010 as recognition for its work in the areas of energy conservation, water conservation, pollution prevention, solid waste reduction and green building.
	Recology's Artist in Residence Program celebrated its 20th year of operations with the exhibit "Art at the Dump: Twenty Years of the Artist in Residence Program at Recology" in 2010.
	Recology earned the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) for the construction of the corporate office. LEED is a third-party certification program and the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings in five key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.
	Interior Design Magazine awarded Pollack architecture the 2010 Best of the Year Award for the Recology corporate office. The Eco Category Merit Award went to the LEED Gold project and serves as a testament to the Pollack team’s hard work in realizing Recology's cultural goal.
	Recology's Artist in Residence (AIR) Program was honored with the Acterra 2009 Business Environmental Award for its leadership in Environmental & Sustainability Education.
	Recology received the 2009 Corporate Environmental Award as the top environmental company by Waste & Recycling News.
	Recology was a 2009 recipient of the Waste Reduction Awards Program (WRAP) offered by the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle). The company also received the awards in the years 2008, 2007, 2006, 2004, 2003, and 2001.
	Recology received the Annual Award for Communications Excellence (AACE) from The ESOP Association in 2009 for our educational materials and ESOP Intranet.

	The Bay Area Region chapter of the American Lung Association recognized Norcal Waste Systems with the Clean Air Award for Technology in 2002.
Employee Owner of the Year Award	Susan Hoop of Norcal Waste Systems, Inc. received recognition as Employee Owner of the Year from the ESOP Association California/Western States Chapter in 2002.

	Sunset Scavenger and Golden Gate Disposal and Recycling companies were recognized with the Best Organics Program – Fantastic 3 by the California Resource Recovery Association in 2000.
	In 2000, the National Association of Counties gave the Achievement Award – Recycling Program to Sunset Scavenger and Golden Gate Disposal & Recycling.
